Memberships And Licences
On November 1, the CASC-OR Members Website began accepting club membership and licence renewals for the 2018 calendar year.
With the new site implemented in January 2017, you can renew your club membership and licences in one session – no more waiting for your club admin to process your renewal before applying for a licence.
If you’re not sure how to log in and use the site, contact your club admin. Once they make sure your email address is correct and give you your user name for the site, you can reset your password, log in, and renew club and licences all at once!
And as an incentive for those who need a Driver A or B licence, the price for those has been reduced to $200 as an incentive to renew early. That price will go back up in the new year, so why not renew now and save some money?
Fairly new to the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship scene having raced just two full seasons, this week we feature Danby Crowder, who by friendly accounts raced straight into his midlife crisis! Long time enthusiast of the sport with a short time behind the wheel, the pilot of the #33 stands as a testament to why it’s never too late to go racing!
This story comes from our intrepid field reporter James Altman in sunny San Diego, Cali-forn-i-a. James is really into cars and basically anything that has a motor! So much so that he has chosen to do a history report on the history of the automobile. James really enjoys doing research, and is always be putting together projects for his own enjoyment, long before he was assigned them in school and he’s sure you’ll enjoy it too. Great stuff, James!
The automobile has come a long way in its developmental history. It has gone from a simple steam powered vehicle to today’s high tech, computer aided auto. Along the way, the auto has had many key innovations that helped advance the development, and also aided other industries. Continue reading
While no meeting is planned for the month of December, we hope to have an ‘open house’ gathering in January.
In the meantime here’s The Brian Setzer Orchestra to explain how Santa gets around so fast:
There will not be a meeting this month. Updates and important messages will be posted on the website. I know that some of you will be disappointed, others glad but NO one will feel quite like I do…
Even though the season is winding down your executive is still busy doing its best to program and make things happen next year.
Rob Metcalfe, Peter Ellsworth, Danby Crowder, Paul Ecke and Roger Curtis
Owing to the lack of new business, there will not be a meeting this month.
Your executive, however, will get together to discuss the Picton locker among other things. A report will follow.
In the meantime why not have a look at the top ten list of scariest cars and see how many you’ve owned. https://www.cartalk.com/content/top-10-scary-cars
